Community Education Coordinator

(Full Time)

This position will research and write grants proposals as needed, be responsible for the quarterly publication of the newsletter, and work with the team to keep the website, social media sites, and e-newsletters current. The coordinator will also work on special events, donor relationship management, and public education including tours and speaking engagements.

Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree, Experience as a proposal or published writer, and Experience in communications and public relations is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience and comfort in speaking in front of groups of all sizes.
• Proficient at use of Microsoft Word, Power Point, electronic media and publishing software
• Must be friendly, present a professional image in appearance and speech, and be capable of representing Wendell Foster in a variety of professional, business and social settings
• Experience in putting together written publications and materials
• Ability to work closely with and motivate others, paid and unpaid, in a team environment
• Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle or acceptable alternate transportation
• Able to work flexible hours as needed, including weekends and evenings

Meal Service Assistants


 The Meal Services Assistant provides food services to individuals residing in the ICF/MR, various programs or events on the campus, and staff, when required, while following all sanitation and Food Service Establishment Codes, physicians’ orders, and dietary instructions.


 The Meal Services Assistant supports the overall mission of WFC by empowering the individuals they serve to communicate food likes and dislikes, make choices, and offer suggestions, and by honoring such requests to the extent possible by providing nutritious, tasteful meals in a homelike environment.


 Education and/or Education:

 High school diploma or equivalent.

 Must be at least 18 years of age.

 Experience in meal service area preferred, but will train if necessary.

Starting pay is $9.00 with excellent benefits.

Autism Program Aide


 The Autism Program Aide assists the Autism Program Manager in providing support and training to the participants enrolled in the Kelly Autism Program.


 The Autism Program Aide promotes independence and productivity among individuals with autism by providing the highest quality services through the Kelly Autism Program. By offering practical, transferrable social skills training, the Autism Program Aide supports the mission of WFCDD by helping program participants and their families meet their goals and become more engaged in their communities.


 Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma

• Experience working with children, adolescents, or adults with autism and other disabilities is preferred

• Progress toward college degree in Exceptional Education, Psychology, Communication Disorders, Elementary Education, Social Work, or related field preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Self-motivated

• Excellent Organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

• Attention to detail and accuracy is critical

Direct Support Professional

Direct Support Professionals provide direct support while ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals with disabilities. They also assist in the areas of self-help, activities of daily living, and socialization.

Our DSPs are passionate about serving others and provide meaningful work in a variety of community and residential settings.

We have full time, part time, and on-call positions available.
