Residential Living

The Wendell Foster’s Campus offers three separate residential living programs:

Centre Pointe

Centre Pointe

Based on over sixty years of commitment to care, Centre Pointe is the only private, non-profit residential facility in the commonwealth of Kentucky specializing in the treatment of individuals with Cerebral Palsy. This state-of- the art licensed Intermediate Care Facility consists of four, sixteen bed cottages; each providing spacious, home-like, semi-private rooms with whirlpool bathing facilities.
Twenty-four hours a day, complete residential, behavioral, nursing and active treatment services are available to the residents of Centre Pointe. Additionally, therapy services consisting of physical, speech, occupational, vocational and recreation are offered by the facility and through our outpatient rehab facility to all we serve. To empower each resident to realize their dreams and potentials, individualized plans are designed based on their age and level of care. Centre Pointe exemplifies the model of providing healthcare within a social based environment.

Respite care services are available for families when emergencies arise or a well-deserved break is needed. Families interested in these services can contact the Wendell Foster’s Campus for more detail.

Supports for Community Living Homes (SCL)

Supports for Community Living Homes (SCL)

Wendell Foster’s Campus offers accessible housing to individuals who need a supported home environment through the Supports for Community Living (SCL) program. SCL was developed as a Medicaid waiver program for Kentucky residents, serving as an alternative to institutional care for individuals with mental retardation or developmental disabilities. This program provides 24-hour staff supervision, focusing on promoting the independence and maximum potential of each individual. Physical, occupational and speech therapies are available as well as behavioral and psychological services. Our adult day training focuses on opportunities to participate in many activities throughout the community, ranging from attending sporting events to visiting local government offices. The individuals participating in the Supports for Community Living program range in ages 26-66.

Independent Living Homes

Independent Living Homes

One bedroom, wheelchair accessible rental homes are available on Campus for those individuals desiring independent living. The fully handicap - accessible homes have convenient access to public transportation, medical care, and churches. Individuals can contact the Wendell Foster’s Campus for more information.
